Accommodation
Neil and Margaret, owners of Bluebell House in Inverness are our hosts for night 14 and have been kind enough to give us a wonderful 57% discount. KOMAPSUMNIDA!
Bojangles Guesthouse provides us with our first nights accommodation in Scotland when we stopover in Gretna. Susan, the owner has given us a very welcome 47% discount on the usual tariff. DANK JE!
Many Thanks to Craig Stewart, General Manager at the Bowfield Hotel & Country Club in Refrewshire. Craig has provided us with a can't be beaten FREE NIGHTS accommodation for Day 11 of our challenge. I think we will both be taking full advantage of the jacuzzi to help ease some of the aches and pains. HAVALA!
Evelyn, general manager at the Castletown Hotel has been very genorous by giving us a 33% discount on our final nights accommodation. We will be stopping over here once we have made it to John O'Groats. With the money saved we now we might be able to afford a glass of champagne to celebrate completing the challenge. ARIGATOU!
The Cholmondeley Arms in Malpas will be providing us with Bed & Breakfast for Day 6 and I expect they will be our choice for dinner and a pint as well. Hugo the manager has kindly given us a 28% discount. DUA NETJER EN EK!
Marina and Tony Greenaway, owners of Edenhurst B&B in Curry Rivel, just on the outskirts of Langport have kindly given us a 15% discount on the usual rates for Day 3 of our challenge, and they have a hot tub as well :-) TACK!
Our destination at the end of day 8 is Windermere where we will be heading for the Ellerdene Guesthouse. Rhoda and her daughter Cath will be our hosts and they have kindly given us a 17% discount. DYAKOOYU!
Owner and Manager Steve Williams has given us a 19% discount for our 4th night's stay when we rest up at The Fountain Inn located near Tintern. MARABA!
Upon reaching Inveraray at the end of Day 12, we will be making a beeline for The George Hotel which will be our place of rest for the evening. Karen & Kris have given us a 14% discount. GRATIA!
Edith Anderson owner of Guisachan House (not sure how you pronounce it :-) has offered us a nights accommodation for Day 13 in Fort William with a 12% discount. TAPADH LEAT!
Mark and Lesley Poole, owners of the Meadlowlea Guest House in Okehampton have kindly provided a 20% discount for our Day 3 accommodation. DANKIE!
Parr Hall Farm is our resting point on Day 7. Proprietors, Kate & Mike Motley have kindly offered us a 14% discount on the nights accommodation. SHUKRIYA!
The Poppy House provides us with our accommodation for the end of Day 5 as we make it to Bishops's Castle. And courtesy of Claire and her mum they have kindly agreed to give us a 33% discount on the accommodation costs. SHNORHAGALLEM!
Red Willows in Bolingey is our first stop off after we start our challenge in earnest. Peter the owner has very kindly given us a very genourous 50% discount on the accommodation costs and promised a high calorie slap up breakfast! SAS EFHARISTO!
Rigg House B&B in Kirkconnel is where we will be resting our heads at the end of Day 10. Jennie has kindly given us an 18% discount. TIKA HOKI!
Bicycle Maintenance
We want to make sure that our bikes are in tip-top condition before we set off. Steve Watkin the 'Bicycle Repair Man' has agreed to give both our bikes a full service before we set off and has kindly given us a 38% discount on his usual prices. KIITOS!
Fuel
All long journeys require fuel. As we don't drink petrol or diesel we need to keep our engines running in some other way. 9Bar have offered to supply us with their energy bars for our challenge
They are Wheat FREE, Gluten FREE, Dairy FREE, Lactose FREE, Yeast FREE and Egg FREE and due to 9Bar's generosity they are FREE!! Pinhead is happy as he suffers from IBS, so these should be gentle on his stomach, Fathead is happy because it is food. MALO!
The The Fabulous Bakin Boys have donated a couple of boxes of Flapjacks to help us through our training. Lot's of oats and slow release carbs. Just the ticket. DZIEKI!
